Well today was the first Nelson to Palmerston North direct flights day, I got some pics of the last Palmerston - Nelson flight of the day ZK-EAK, then it went back to Wellington, very horrible night, 8 deg, windy and drizzle!

This is great stuff Dash .... well done thumbup1.gif Real thought in those shots .
Be careful though .... sometime ago i was out at chc with a friend who was taking pics with a long lens of pilots in the cockpit .... evidently an ANZ Boeing pilot complained (to whom , we dont know) , and we were approached by some security numb nut and asked to leave ..... or put the camera away.
It resulted in a small argument , which we lost ..... and where escorted off the terminal .....

Hmm funny you should say that, tonight I was doing the same thing over the fence to a B1900D, and the Pilots approached me and said ''Did you get some good shots of the Beech?'' and then smiled and walked off! wish all pilots were like that!

will post more tonight maybe

Dont let me put you off , your work is superb.... its just what happened to me .
Strange , since then , my friend put his pics online , and has "sold" heap's to ANZ pilots .... I guess ( and rightly so) some folk just dont like it..... and some do.

I think you'll find that grainy effect is coz your camera is on some AUTO-ISO mode. Hard to avoid in dark conditions like that though without flash or other lighting

Nice one Terry

Hmm, that must be some 737 or A320 in that contrail visible, rolleyes.gif and the dash 8 chases it!, biggrin.gif but however it wouldn't reach that specific aircraft in that contrail as that aircraft might be around FL330-FL350 and the dash 8's maximum flight altitude is FL250.

But if it reached it, gets overstressed and crashes, I'll be like this wacko.gif

Yes I agree - we see contrails just about every day except when its cloudy in Nelson
