Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Postby blackout » Sun Jul 07, 2013 4:07 pm

Can anyone think of an aircraft that they might want modelled for flight simulator? I have some experience making FS aircraft, from scratch, With Tru3D cockpit instruments.

Here's some ideas:

Dash-8-100 (the shortest one). We have the Q400 which is a VERY different aircraft from the baby -8, and I imagine the smallest member of the Dash 8 series would be quite popular.
Beech 99 (a popular cargo aircraft and regional aircraft of decades past)
Saab 340 (a regional workhorse needing a highly detailed appearance in FSX!)
Tupolev Tu-95 'Bear' (one of the most iconic Cold War aircraft out there, essentially the Russian version of the B-52)
Piper Aztec (popular regional airliner in New Zealand it seems, and a nice twin overall)
Aerospatiale Gazelle (a utility helicopter used for a wide variety of functions from military to tour flights)

As above, agree with the Saab 340, but also think we need a good FSX model of perhaps the greatest regional workhorse of "modern" times.....
The Fokker F-27 Friendship .

Big thumbs up from me for the F27, and Saab 340 (why there isnt already a detailed FSX model for that heaven knows), and the Aztec.
Would also be cool to see something detailed for the DH83 Fox Moth, and EMB-110 Bandeirante

Hah hah,....... figures you'd make a plug for the "Whistling Wheelbarrow" Doug. I knew that was coming, which is why i did'nt mention it !! laugh.gif
Another worthwhile regional workhorse ( Dart powered like the F27 and AW650), the HS-748 .
Never gave the dear old B-170 a thought, but a definate icon for so long here in the NZ skies.

I agree with the Dash 8 100, Piper Aztec and the Saab 340, How about these, a Dash 8 Q300, a ATR 72-500, a ATR 72-600 and a Beechcraft 1900D.

Some good ideas here. I'll finish the Beech 18 that I'm working on (FSX only), and then i might try on of these (I'm thinking Bristol Freighter or F.27 Friendship).
