Queenstown Fever
Sunday 07th July 2013 1900-2230 NZST / 1700-2030 AEST / 0700-1030 UTC

To kick things off for July, we fly tonight into one of New Zealand's most popular tourist attractions - Queenstown. Thousands of people flock into Queenstown every year for the glaciers, snow and natural attractions it has to offer.
Pilots can depart from either Wellington or Auckland with services out of both. The approach is just as promising at Queenstown, with no precision approaches as well as a procedural tower, pilots should practice their RNAV and VOR approaches as this will be one not be easy!
Controllers have a variety of ATC positions available to them this week, with three different airports to select from - they have no reason not to control, remember to book your position!
Jetstar regularly fly between Wellington and Queenstown, with a typical sector length of one hour. Both Air New Zealand and Jetstar fly between Queenstown and Auckland with flights being an hour and a half.
Typically flown in a Boeing 737 or an Airbus 320, pilots are more than welcome to fly what they wish.
It looks to be a fantastic and promising night!
