I was wondering if either you, Ian or Deane have ever considered framing you sketches and paintings and selling them at airshows etc. I know one of my prized possessions is a framed print of a Lancaster that I picked up at Wanaka in 2008 for quite a wee bit, but it takes pride and place amid my plethora of aviation related prints and posters. And I know there's a joker on trademe that flicks of some excellent sketches and prints for anywhere between 10-50 dollars depending on the size and frame etc. And to be honest I would buy any one of you guys' prints and sketches!

I would have to return , fact is not that far from idea , would'nt do the typical pose but full leather jacket combat art , old saying on one off Frank Wottons paintings done after the 1944 Falise Gap , Air Commodore looked at it and said 'Not enough dead German' , the painting now hang s in the Imperial War Museum , this sort of work is an option and really be a passion , but would also have to be as real and to a scale not tried before .

Excelent artwork guys, I was particularly impressed with your sons Deane, thats very good for an 8 year old.

Aircraft are very hard to draw and get right I reckon, because of the beautiful lines in "most" even the slightest change in them will put the whole craft way out of proportion. You see it so often in a lot of art.

Thanks for sharing. smile.gif

Just had a thought ..... odd for me , but ... I think you could be your own agent, think about who you know and where ..... dont worry about frames , if you can pin down a good price (per print) just go from there , bottom line is profit ....talk on sunday.
