Now that is definitely cool!
And beautifully made, loved the sound track.
And isn't that just the Greatest Dog??

If you are ever in Central Otago, take some time to stop in at Hayes Engineering Works just out of Oturehua.
100 years old, the workshop still functions, and a more amazing collection of belts pulleys and shafts I have yet to see.
It's hydro-driven too.

Place like this out the back off Banks Peninsular - past Governer s Bay/Chartaris Bay , Orton Bradley park has a similar setup ... first place in Canterbury to have electricity , a lot of it restored and date 1840/50s .. even old drill bits used to make cannons off the period .

I saw ole grandpa .. thought the same "a still" .. first few minutes i took this as a comical ,.... YE HA smile.gif

.. i know the dangers of old machinery and i taught and warned a few .. then a few got hurt , two serious .. that was pre OSH .. but they are as bad as the fix's in some places .

.. This is still a running bizz and i think its friggen cool , the people no the machine .. still dangerous if caught out or not with it ...
