Another spot of useless info for ya Ian....well actually from an 'insider' (my son who did a vist to his ol Man back in Feb).
ITV (who my son is working for over in Ol Blighty) are doing a remake of good ol Thunderbirds.
Apparently Weka in Welly are doing the series for them which my boy said is due out in late 2014 early 2015.
They have done a survey with some young folk and showed them the original series and then the T/Bird movie.
The young ones reckoned that the movie was 'better' than the original, so apparently Weka will be keeping with the more modern look of the T Birds.
Shame, I kinda liked the stuttering puppet strings of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson....lol
According to my prodigy, even now the merchandising with the original T Bird theme is catching on and is a good earner for them and they haven't even released any teasers yet.
The one thing that #1 Son hasn't told his powers that be that he still has a 'Thunderbirds Island' in his ol Mans lockup.....
And to answer your question.....no, the ol Man don't play with it......

Phil .. maybe not so useless .. bitta engineering and a brain case full off ideas .... A remake .. you mention strings .. you have not .. I could get into that

From what No! Son told me, it should be pretty awesome, especially with Weka doing the job......if I can coax a teaser from my boy I will post.....
