Lima 2013 Airshow (Langkawi) 30/03/2013
Went to LIMA2013 whilst travelling through Langkawi recently but couldn't really achieve good results with my travel camera and very much miss having a dslr for airshows and aircraft spotting.
In summary the best displays were from the RMAF Smokey Bandits (Mig29 Team), RAF Eurofighter Typhoons, Thai Jas-39 and the Russian Knights. Without further adieu here's the photos that i was able to get whilst mostly hiding under the IL-76's shadow and being ambushed by the few Indonesians around for group photos.

Standard issue Russian Tropical Camo.

Only saw the C-17 do a display but the prior days when i was in KL apparently the other US equipment did displays, this is post cutting airshow support and more of a sales pitch to the Malaysian AF who is probably going to get the Rafale to replace the Mig-29s, F-18D and single seat hawks.
Will try upload photos from my visit to the TNI-AU Museum here in Yogyakarta (Massive collection) seem today has been written off as a down day, probably last chance to do such as i give up the laptop that i'm using that's actually been bought up for someone i know.

Very interesting pics - thanks for posting. So the word in Malaysia is that the air force will get Rafales to reaplace their Mig 29s/Hawk-200s/F-18Ds?
