It s a good doco and they almost got the the aircraft out ... amazing Caribou flying in it as well bring in parts cool.gif

Glad you liked it ..... Ian there is another one i would love to get... do you remember one about a Constellation ? Similar to the B-29 but with a happy ending . From memory the guy who flew it out had really long hair (if that helps) also recall one about bringing the QANTAS 707 home .....

Yip , got that doco , good friend in the USA sent me that one , lotta Connie documentary's and one base on his experience's - Don was a wizzo in the backseat of a WV-2/EC121K for the US Navy and he also flew on the on both VX6 Connie's between Barbers Point Hawaii to the US many times , great watching the old 1965/8 stuff and Vietnam footage in the Gulf of Tonkin . cool.gif

That was a great watch. what a waste of someones life and a great aircraft. I wasn't even working on it and even i felt real sad to see it come to an end like that.

Cool! Thanks for the link to this. I have read the book Hunting Warbirds, which is a great read and details this mission to Iceland I think. I'll watch the video later, no time right now, but sounds to me like the very same thing. Cheers!!!
