Christchurch AGN update This includes AGN placing by Greg "scaber" McKenzie who did a wicked job in Lyttleton harbour township and AGN work by Doug (the NZFF screenshot competition man) Cunniffe editing the many thousands of misplaced AGN and redoing many in the Northern Canterbury region and doing the recolouring of the entire area to suit NZSI and also a very Hi-Res Airport photo cool.gif - both these areas are really starting to look stunning - Still a lot of work to do but thing are starting to fall into place and looking the part .

Link for the updated Autogen: http://nzff.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=...p;#entry8326360
Just simply place these into your 'Christchurch X' texture folder and fly ..... ENJOY cool.gif

For those of you who don't have the 1GB hi resolution photo
you can PM or email myself or Doug and we will send you a copy via a link .

You can see we are Zeroing in on the target . cool.gif

This is the area that the high resolution photo Christchurch X covers from just South of Lyttelton Harbour to Leithfield Beach in the North and west to West Melton.

Ian, thank you very much for the link. I tried it today with the updated autogen, and I am still amazed what's possible within that old, aged, outdated FSX/P3D engine. All this with really good frame rates and without OOMs, btw. Very well done!

Congratulations and my best wishes to CHCH, Michael

@ Wildman , with the new photo , it produces a very good quality reproduction for your National flights but also works brilliant for a Tiki Tour of the region .

@ Dean , I have done a larger part of the city and Doug working on plantations and the rual areas , now what we need is a small increase to the file size so as to get update directly to you and all NZFF and worldly simmer with regular updates .

Nice thing is the rubbish AGNs our now getting well and truly weeded cool.gif .. I'm not sure but it seems New Zealand has the most accurate autogened towns and cities airfields and airports anywhere in the world and a large portion of it is freeware .

All you people will know who it is but we are very dismayed to find that all our latest christchurch autogen has been pirated and used on another scenery file by a person who I will not name.
We now have to go through the whole process again to having it removed again. sad.gif pirate.gif

I'm sure the two involved will loose further credit across the spectrum of flightsim after stealing so much from others and putting there names to files they don't own nor has done any creative work , like leach,s they put names to work only to carry themselves into the PC Rubbish Bin .

Final note to this , many people call it a "tall poppy syndrome" sort off thing .. thing is nearly fifteen years doing this i believe i have the right to protect my property although give the product away still its belongs to myself , Rule number one - always credit people as the authors and not in readme's .. simply today no one reads them .
