I may be getting sentimental, but the 747 still looks good to me. Always graceful and definitely one to watch. Couple of photos here of the KLM 747 heading back to Amsterdam from the island of Curacao in the Caribbean.





There will be a few more photos when I sort out the folders, got thousands of photos going back so many years that I have to sort out !!

Jerry , YIP one pretty aircraft , nothing beats a 747 and look at that ...it a 747 cargo/pax ... be looking forward for when you catch a 800 in your sites cool.gif

Never enough .. This the same aircraft as earlier photos ? , not a CV this one

No, a different day. Wish that I had more time to get more photos of this, as it was a great sight arriving and departing each day. But I am a 747 fan !

And so is "Boeing747fan" Phil a NZFF member and so am i .. still remember the day the first QANTAS 747 arrived in Christchurch ... course my first OE on the "City of Canberra" 200 series 1980 i got in the cockpit across the Tasman Kool!

Hijack! I had cause to go out on Aucklands movement area and snapped an Air Pacific 747 landing on RWY05 (Photo taken from the 05 holding point)

And keeping the thread on the subject of the Queen of the Skies, here is a photo of that Air Pacific 747 taken at Nadi Airport on 4th March last year. Soon it will be all Air Fiji, so the colourful Air Pacific colourscheme will be just a memory. Not a bad paint job though.



No contest between a 747 and an A380.
