After fixing fsx wanting to do Multiplayer

For everything about online flying around New Zealand

Postby Fozzer » Fri Feb 22, 2013 11:15 pm

I/we regularly use the NZFF FS Host Multiplayer Server, http://203.114.130.15:81/ , for FS 2002/FS 2004/FSX, but I rarely, if ever, find any NZ Multiplayers on-line. Most are from Europe, America (north and south), and Asia!

Does anyone from NZ actually use Multiplayer, regularly, any more?

That was one area i did like with FS9 MPs and early pre service pack FSX , i could run one PC as the control tower and the other PC flying whatever or many screens were so much easier running my own personal network put one aircraft in auto and formate with the other or always good when someone stopped by .

Sure do use multiplay several times each week. My usual ones are:
- Digital Theme Park
- Pilot Edge
- OZx

and other informally hosted flights. Tried FSHost with B17 flights but found it slowed down things too much on my system, though that could be caused by my distance from the host or maybe just the interaction between my system and others I was trying to fly with - anyway, whatever the cause, it got frustrating enough that I gave up on that system.

Multiplay is alive and well in the wider fSX community!!

...don't forget, to avoid overloading the FS Host Servers, and to make sure that everything runs s-m-o-o-t-h-l-y, it is very important that everyone in the session LOCK their frame rate to 20 FPS Max...

...(..and makes sure that their Router, etc, Ports are open!).... winkyy.gif ...!

Paul....serving the servers... cool.gif ...!

Well I reckon MP is still alive and well.

Here is a screen grab of our Teamspeak channel, in use last night.

A flight with Wellington Tower being manned in nasty weather, low cloud, rain and strong gusting winds.
Flying GA single and twin aircraft from places like Blenheim, Christchurch, and Nelson

As the list flags show all from Australia, except one (Bruce) from UK.

But there are several from NZ, who join in on some nights.

While the tower was not quite up to Vatsim/IVAO standards, it still makes
for an entertaining evening.

Cheers
