Hi guys, just wondering what version of the Spitfire you guys like the most. It does not have to be Only the Spitfire i love the Mk 9 c type wing. I also love the DH.98 Mosquito mk V and the Corsair and Kittyhawk.

Here is a little Vid of 16 Spits in formation.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=playe...p;v=pio9oeSMiO8

Heres a little picture of the mark 9 escorting a B-17 entitled HOLD ON YANKS Please note that in the Picture it's a late mark Ix due to the Tail section and smaller bulges around the cannons. Thats what the artist did any way, but it looks like it has a griffon. But that is the latter type of merlin with a slight rise toward the front.

All types from all countries , painting is a little jaded - no bulge on engine just the slash of exhaust in the paint , best way to tell is with markings and the C type wing making it the early Mk9 .. and the 4 bladed prop

Forgive me for my comment about the engine that's wrong but it's a latter mk 9 according to this. But since Your older i'll admit i am wrong. until you read this.

Woops read that rego wrong but it's just art so it's not a accurate representation of RW. But any way i know what you mean Dean i love the corsair it's just not explainable is it.

One thing that did happen and many times and with many frontline aircraft , have a major part damaged they simply retrofitted the with parts and bits and pieces from another , then to try and find that very aircrafts history is a mission in its self so in hindsite you can call it Artistic licence or discretion .

yea i love the mossie absolutely love it i also love the Su-27 and Mig-29 but there not war-birds. With the Spitfire what mark do you like sponge-Bob, because i know of at least 1 mark 9 being developed which i have the Privilege to be part of the development of that spectacular plane.
