Square halos around lights in FSX

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Postby Jayden » Wed Jan 16, 2013 5:22 pm

I have unfortunately discovered square halos around any lights in FSX, and it is starting to annoy me. I have a few addons which I am curious about, but may not be the problem.

Addons, possible of the problem:

-Shockwave_3D_Lights Redux
-Aero files Texture Booster FSX

All reply's appreciated, Cheers.

From what little I've read, it's the nature of the beast (FSX, that is).

(Just one more reason for me to seriously consider returning to FS9.)

Just wondering the G/card using with Shockwave_3D_Lights Redux , I never brought this A2A addon since very much the same came with their aircraft packages . I'm guessing there is no problem not using the addon ..you have turned them off ?

PS: Now you can .. least you only can jump in for the Screenie Compo .. and get your dad to stop in and post as well winkyy.gif

It would be interesting test , a great aircraft that has the lights built in is A2As Flying Fortress , be interesting to see if it creates that same problem , I do recall a few had issues when the Shock-wave lights were first released and possibly could hiding away on the A2A forum ... good peoples there - maybe jump on the forums smile.gif

Hi, I have good news, I fixed it!
I had to remove some random shader I installed for FSX, but I unfortunately cant remember the name of it. I also updated Shockwave_3D_Lights Redux by returning to the installer...either one could have been the problem.

Thanks for the help!
