Hi guys, haven't been on here for a while!

I don't know if any of you remember me, I was making the New Plymouth Scenery a while back. But my Hard Drive crashed and I lost the lot sad.gif All my work was gone. But a month ago I was looking through one of my Portable Hard Drives and I was shocked to have found the scenery all there! I must have backed it up once...I can't remember lol. So Im slowing carrying on the scenery now with good progress smile.gif

But what I want to ask you guys; I have seen some amazing sceneries of New Zealand and the alot have very high resolution Aerial Photographs as a base for their airports. Especially those of Toprob, creator2003 and many more. I have some very high res Aerial Photos for New Plymouth, however the problem is they were taken in 2005 and the Airport has mega changed quite a bit since then.

I tried Google earth, but as you can see they aren't close:

My question to you is do any of you guys have access too or know of a place I can get recent high-res Aerial photos of New Plymouth airport? I have search but I couldn't find any that were good enough sad.gif I'm trying to get this scenery to payware level, but still remain freeware (:

Also does anyone have any New Plymouth Airport photos? I currently live in Canada so I can't go there and take photos sad.gif I've Google Images the heck out of "New Plymouth Airport" lol. So if any of you have like ANYTHING taken at New Plymouth Airport it would help ALOTTTTTT smile.gif

Thinking of the last few years, every aerial image I've used in a project came from the local council. Some I paid 'retail' for, some just the cost of supplying the images, and a couple of freebies.

I got mine off the council too actually, they gave me the raw .TIFF which was amazingggg.

But I Think I might reconstruct the airport Background in 3Ds Max from different High res textures and blend them together. Which will create nicer more detailed ground/apron texture. And look great close up. smile.gif
