Not sure of the correct terminology here, however when FSX is functioning normally, if I place the cursor over a switch or a guage it will tell me what the switch is and /or the guage reading. It ceased doing that a couple of months ago and I am damned if I can work out a). why it stopped working in the first place and b). how to get it back. I have tried all the normal buttons in the settings and no avail, I figure that something I installed may have affected or modified the FSX config file. For some reason I never had that function with ther VRS Superbug, which made learning where everything was a real challenge without resorting to a printed copy of the manual.

Does anyone know how I can get this function back? I anm sure I have probably overlooked something simple but can't see the forest for the trees at the moment! sad.gif

Wow this topic is old, Ive just reinstalled FSX on a new laptop and Ive got the same problem. Not an issue with the Dodo Jetty but on anything A2A, its kind of nice to know what all the switches do.

FSX has decided you are no longer a noob, so you have no further need for tooltips laugh.gif

You are using DX10 in full screen?

I think being in either windowed-mode or DX9 will fix it
