ORBX NZNI NZFI Scenery Problem

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Ok I Recently acquired a copy of NZNI However my local airport (Where I'm doing my PPL) There is little airport scenery as the area is obscured by the terrain mesh.

Is There any fix? Is anyone else having this problem?

Have you checked for duplicate scenery for the airfield? For example, there is a VLC scenery for Feilding. Duplicates tend to be the main reason for messed-up local airports.

If ORBX is true to form there will probably be an update shortly that may fix it.
But remember NI is mainly landclass. Airfields are just that. Some will arive shortly with a nice price ticket on them.

I have just purchased ORBX NZSI & NZNI but not loaded yet. Did I do the right thing here? or is there a better system to improve the low & slow visuals?

Go for it, I certainly wouldn't judge Orbx NZ on this post -- there were a few bugs reported in NZSI, some of which were fixed in a patch, but I haven't noticed any complaints about NZNI, apart from issues like this one where I suspect that the poster had a conflicting scenery installed. This is quite common with locals, who probably have a lot of little addons installed which they might not even remember installing.

This goes for any scenery, though, sometimes you need to do a tidy-up to get everything working, and this is certainly the place to ask if you have any problems like this.

Thanks to Ian & Top,

Great advice I will go ahead and install both. Delay in installing mainly due to me not using the FS yet as I have been collecting hardware but proably have enough to set up a real basic cockpit.

Will need to get back on this matter on the correct thread. Thanks again.
