Yeah this is an FSX model, you might be thinking of the QualityWings model?

Is this worth getting, in terms of systems simulation? The external model looks impressive, as always.

I wasnt a fan of it sorry , i ended up getting refund from JF the very same day, for the price tag it seemed to be very lacking and simplistic

while i admit the externals are top notch the rest let me down

Matt, just out of interest, did you get the FMC add-on extension thing as well, another $8 or so? wonder if that would make any diff?

sorry a quick reply as i have to run

i dont want to hack on them, but firstly i must say its one of their better products in a while ive seen

the FMC, its not really a FMC like you would see in a tube liner, all it does is converts a existing flight plan into gps way points and thats it, there is the ability to select a departure and arrival airport but thats it, you cant edit or enter other details like alt and IAS ( not that I could find) or select sids and stars

it also has check lists, and the ability to open doors, but thats about that

while the AP panel has LNAV it doesnt support VNAV so IMO they just renamed the GPS heading button in the AP to LNAV, I found the AP very lacking in many features

for the price of the base and addon packs, it seemed to fall short for what you paid for, I admit you have to flick a heap of switches, but most addons do that now

dunno, this wasnt really for me, i was hoping for more at that price, if it was around $20 yeah fair enough i would be more than happy

theres a real good thread at the avsim forum, where one bloke highlights my dislikes as well but at the same time there are many who like it as well not to mention the usual ass kissers
