What a great vid....(love the Lightnings) some great British engineering there but many commercial failures. Amazing shots from close up and very low flying - not what you would see at Farnborough nowadays. The British Aircraft industry was decimated by politics a couple of years after this air show
I was lucky to see a Phantom close up at the '81 air show at Ohakea (didn't fly unfortunately) but saw a couple fly over my house in '76. There are still F-4s in operation in a few European and Asian countries (Greece, Turkey, Germany, Japan and S Korea) and there is a privately owned one in the States.Last edited by Naki on Mon Jun 11, 2012 10:25 am, edited 1 time in total.
