IRIS F-15E Strike Eagle on sale

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

the PC Aviator guys have the fabulous IRIS Mudhen F15 on sale this week at 50% off, which makes it $20-ish, get on over to Deane's site in their Aussie outlet and pick up a copy...

What a thing of beauty, IRIS do a good job generally of VCs and exteriors, but this thing really is up there for them. Some great detailing, nice audio, active GPWS style audio radar, and apparently has active launch-able weapons and dual cockpit although I've yet to explore that. If anyone has this machine let us know what you've discovered, if anyone else is tempted go grab it as it looks like it'll make a wicked multiplay.

This was offered 1/2 price a while back also - so I grabbed it then. Not sure why, as I prefer to "fly" military aircraft in full-blown *combat* sims ... but at that price ....

Though I haven't given it enough "air time" - it really is a *stunning* add-on ... and well worth getting.

Offer runs for 7 days in total, with about 5.5 remaining... so still time to grab it, but after that, it might not go on sale again, ever, or it may in a few months time... but no guarantees. These offers are really up to the publisher to offer alongside PC Aviator.

It seems to be selling well however so far, and is certainly one of the nicest, if not the nicest visual model of an F-15E out there.

For WWII ... it's getting OLD ... but I still don't think you can beat IL-2 (and you can get lots of mods for it).

There were a fair few Battle of Britain releases (Rowan's B.O.B., Wings of Prey, Cliffs of Dover etc.) but I didn't think they were very good.

But for pure fun, WWI "Rise of Flight" is amazing.

If you happen to go down the IL-2 route, you can't avoid Kiwisim. You couldn't meet a friendlier and more knowledgeable bunch of people (outside of NZFF, that is laugh.gif). I used to fly multiplayer online with them a while back - but it almost became a bit of an obsession!

The beauty of IL-2 is once you have it installed (with all mods etc.) then you can simply copy the complete directory to another machine if/when you want to re-install it.

TOTAL AGREE ... best 10 bucks spent .. WWI ... lotta fun cool.gif

You used to fly online , Adam ... no pressure , we do it online .. like wait for each other , if one in trouble we all try a sort the issue and if that don't work kick the bloody kabozzers outta our virtual tires , more test pilots here than combat pilots ... unsure.gif .... but anyone think it could be a walk in the park and turn on us dry.gif .. we are ready cool.gif
