Hi Michael , the photoreal city area fits in superbly with the orbx NZSI - roads heading out of the city match an currently using the airport as well till a new model is constructed , base its a static photo (one season) so wont have the four seasons but generally prity close .

Thanks Ian, that's really great, I'll give it a try.

Kind regards, Michael

Doug's Handywork , Re-coloured Now with the new higher defined photo , we can start making it really look like the great 'CHRISTCHURCH Rebuild'

We get grey roads smile.gif ..

Again displaced AGNs .... easily addressed

The blend into NZSI almost melts in , correct AGN and you would hardly no the difference

The Black Lakes of Christchurch , oxidation ponds from space black they are... this region off the City is were the most damage is and now almost a ghostown

The part that produces the best repair effect is Scarbourgh Hill Sumner , my biggest complaint with the ORBX mesh .

More screens shortly show the better coast line , course the area still needs a lot of work and we will possibly have an update if only AGN and to introduce the
great piece of Autogen work done through out the Lyttleton harbour . cool.gif

We have had a little chat to see if the can be blended to suit VLC in the same way , just depends on how much is involved without loosing colour and the texture .

After a lot of work I have finally got it looking about as good as it is going to get to blend in with the ORBX NZSI.
The blend should improve quite a bit more when the autogen is finally finished.
There is still from the Waimakariri river north as far as the Ashley Forrest be done yet which I am about to start on.
Here is a look covering the four seasons.

Autumn

Winter

Spring

Summer

Now you're talking... putting Christchurch on the map!
This is where local effort comes in to its own.

I see you Wobblyville guys have a developing tourist industry: Rubberneck the Ruins.
Be sure and include some...

Here is another teaser for what is to come in the Greater Christchurch Rebuild.
The Real Photo Christchurch has 4 airfields and 2 airstrips and 1 very short airstrip 686ft if you have the right plane for a very short airstrip
This is a higher resolution photo than the old Christchurch one and covers a larger area and as you can see the old autogen was very poorly done so there is still a lot of autogen alterations and addons to be done yet.
Starting at Wigram in the South to Rangiora in the North.

Wigram Airfield now closed but still usable for Flight Sim

Christchurch International Airport

West Melton Airfield

Des Lines Swannanoa Airfield

Fernside Airstrip

McDonalds 686ft Airstrip

Rangiora Airfield
