WindowLight Real Wellington NZWN

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

This post is a request for assistance.

First off Wellington airport with the Windowlight scenery is beautiful. I would say it's one of the most accurate airports I've added-on to FSX. However it has a unique problem that takes away from it's glory. Obstacles and ground traffic. These obstacles can result in a CRASH ending your flight in WTH? I'm not talking about daytime as you might assume. Trying taxiing to the gate AT NIGHT. The situation is not as easy as Ignore crashes. I use FSPassengers to grade my flights. If you hit anything it's game over and your perfect KISS landing means nothing.

Is there anyway to reduce the clutter without sacrificing other ground traffic at normal FSX airports?

Once again so I'm crystal clear. I'm NOT talking about GA planes or AI sitting at the gates. I'm talking about little things such as luggage vehicles and fuel trucks that come right into you for a crash.

The airport and runway is beautiful and accurate. I don't want to taxi to the gate though. 9 times out of 10 it results in a CRASH with just the slightest thing.

You really need to turn off crash detection when taxiing around NZWN, the sim's crash detection is just not accurate enough for a 'tight' airport like that.

Turn of FSX crashes first, then disable crashes within the FSpassengersX program:

- Go to this folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\FsPassengers\Config

- Open this file with notepad -- >more_option

QUOTE
DisableForceCrashDetection =0; // disable the "force crash detection" feature of FsP
DisableForceCollideDetection =0; // disable the "force collide detection" feature of FsP
DisableForceStressCauseDamage =0; // disable the "force stress cause damage" feature of FsP
DisableForceGeffect =0; // disable the "force G effect" feature of FsP
- Change the '0' to a '1' on both these two lines:
QUOTE
DisableForceCrashDetection =1; // disable the "force crash detection" feature of FsP
DisableForceCollideDetection =1; // disable the "force collide detection" feature of FsP
- Save and close the file

And now you will have no more annoying crashes, and lots of completed flights thumbup1.gif
