FS9 Aircraft in FSX

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

This may not be of interest to the bulk of you, but a simple little edit will allow you too use your fs9 (alphasim) a/c in fsx.
I must explain, i havent looked at the internals....ie , gauges etc, as that isnt what Im interested in ....but the outsides all work. Most look pretty good, others are a little dodgey by fsx standards.

All you do is load the a/c into sim objects/airplanes.....find the the panel cfg folder.....go to the very bottom and change the last 2 lines to read ....
SIZE_X=8191
SIZE_Y=6143
and the aircraft are flyable and not all flat looking.

You wont see a picture in the "select aircraft" folder, but there are ways around that as well. For me it dosent matter, as long as i can see the outside Im happy.

Thanks Adam......watch this space....TSR-2, Jag, ..... smile.gif

There is a Auto thumbnail generator for download somewhere or a link to tut making your own http://www.surclaro.com/article520.html

My way is just copying one from a default aircraft folder loading it up in mspaint or photoshop and sticking a screen shot re sized image of AC on top merge layer ,save out .bmp into the fs9 aircraft folder etc in FSX ..
