I agree with the other comments: its coming along nicely, Mike. So when you're done, this will totally replace the Supercity scenery? It will be excellent to have NZAA as it should be, and with your eye to detail there's sure to be eye-toys aplenty! smile.gif

Well for some they will be happy with what they have already and choice is good plus its the only fsx version of it out there at the moment ,this is and will be in a league of its own and does cover the same area + abit more north etc ,i did build the models for Auckland Supercity a number of years ago for Rob so i want to do better 2-3 years later for my own inner reward ,everything is remodelled textured and done in a different way to the RealNZ version bringing it upto date with what is coming out 2012 .

Sorry, what I meant is for those of us who have SuperCity presumably we won't be able to use your new one AND SuperCity at the same time? I dont take it as a slight on SuperCity to have a new version of Auckland - that's just progress, and we've been able to enjoy a far better rendition of Auckland with SuperCity over the last couple of years. I would guess that making scenery / airports is very much like making a movie: there comes a point where one simply calls it "done", even if one might want to actually do more - there's always time and money working against any given project, as it were.

I'm quite okay with purchasing a newer version of Auckland (and now with the airport - yeeha) and having to "switch off" SuperCity. And I'll do the same when the new version of Wellington comes out etc.

Keep up the good work, Mike - if not for you, Rob, Timmo and the others who slave away at scenery, we'd have had to wait years for others to bother to give us anything. smile.gif

Mike, do you mind if I mention this on the Aerosoft forum? There's a thread there asking about Auckland scenery.

Let me know.

Cheers,

Awesome work Creator! I don't spend much time that far up the country but that is soon to change! Oh yeah, I was wondering if you might be able to upload some of your squirrel paints?

Yeah Ian - I still dont get why all this stuff for us simmers has to be so soddingly expensive. Sure, Aerial Mapping or whoever has to spend time and effort flying, photography and making useable the stuff we could use. But since we are just hobbyists - not making a bundle or like Snowman not making anything at all - you think they'd cut us some slack and at least provide slightly lower res pics for either just a token amount or very little. Ditto for the Councils - and often with Council stuff its paid for by taxes of some sort, which means one of us has ALREADY paid for it! There could even be some caveat that says we can use the photos for free provided its given away: then the scenery designers could give away the photoreal part and sell the autogen / placed object separately. But I guess Rob, Mike et al have probably already beat their heads against that brick wall a few times... sad.gif

You get the Sir Douglas Graham's .. Lets steel that and get away with it , you get the soddingly expensive photo unsure.gif ... but would be one hell off a Tourist proving attraction .. seen that before with FS .. it really invites people from all over the world cool.gif
