unsure.gif Am looking at a partial upgrading of my PC and going for the following.................
Gigabyte GA-Z68M-D2H-B3 Motherboard
Intel i7-2600k 3.40GHz CPU
8 gig DDR3 memory
Windows 7 64bit Home Premium (or Professional)
Intel 320 40GB SATA2 SSD

I am hoping to use my other existing components...........
Good size Case
Existing optical drives
Existing 650gig & 500 gig HHD
550Watt Power Supply
Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 with 896 on board

Would be interested in feedback as to
1) do you think FSX would run well on this set-up?
2) suggestions as to what changes members would recommend?

Many thanks in advance rolleyes.gif

My understanding is that the Operating system will go on this as it boots up so much faster!
I am also not sure whether I could install FSX on this drive with scenery/simobjects/other folders on a separate drive!

By the time you get your Win 7 x64 and programs on your 40GB there won't be much room left for anything else.

Your FSX would be better loaded onto another hard drivein my setup my Win 7 X64 ultimate is loaded and with all the programs etc if is 74GB so it wouldnt fir on a 40GB SSD
My FSX with addons still to be added is 51GB.
I have my Win 7 X64 loaded on a 150GB partition on a 500GB hard drive and my FSX is loaded onto a 128GB SSD
