Hi all,

Anyone have this one http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/CitationX_20.htm Looking for another smaller jet to fly. Is it anywhere near the PMDG 737 NGX as far as interaction etc?

In a word: yes. Eaglesoft do serious models with serious systems modelling.
Better take some serious time out to learn how to drive it, too.

The F1 Citation Mustang is also a good bird with the most complete G1000 avionics available in FSX (though not to the same level as the NGX)

It is also a 'realistic' jet for NZ as there are 3 real world ones operating and is suitable for many shorter runways here.

Before the NGX came along it was my favourite jet :-)

Cheers husker, and Charl

Made me look a little harder....

Quite right in saying more realistic for NZ runways looking at landing distance. I might have to go the newer model though and keep landings to those that can handle it.

Thanks again.

Just be aware that the Flight 1 Mustang (which is probably the best Biz Jet available) is a big FPS hitter ..might be okay on your PC though?....

And that the G1000 in the Mustang (the same one is used in their new Cessna) makes absolutely no provision for vertical anything.

In the real Mustang as I understand it the G1000 doesn't actually control anything, it just tells you when and how fast to go up and down based on the altitudes you put in for the various waypoints (just like the PMDG J41).

Jim's G1000 doesn't do that, you can't put in altitudes and it doesn't provide any clues. I think there might have been a patch that put a ToD marker in the display but that was after I'd got my refund so I couldn't say for sure. Jim is on record as saying it does not and never will support VNAV.
