Im working on patches to my scenery down south which are on there way soon.

Good on yer, Mike thumbup1.gif. I hope that if/when they give N.Island "the treatment" it doesn't cause you too much grief. Hamilton/Taupo are particularly stunning. I'd hate to see them "compromised" in any way.

All should be ok there somewhat ,there is a way of pulling apart Hamilton to enjoy highres airport and landclass together if wanted and Taupo should just drop over top if they havent put in any boobie traps , ether way its pretty easy removing objects from Orbx to insert better models while keeping what you want from them ie like people flow and whatever else they have at the location, so best of both worlds , i will try my best to make them compat with NZNI when the time comes thumbup1.gif .

That is going to be the icing on the cake , five primary NZ design houses that make New Zealand , Godzone , FS-Creations , RealNZ , VLC , and Snowman - been a lot easier for one outsider to confide in all parties here to make it one hell off a lot easier in placement and elevations .

Some very Nice Shots and Scenery in here.
So I have to chip in. Sorry if pic is too big I seem to be seeing people refering to the size a bit. What size would be best? Never really used forums much at all only really started since I got FSX so youll have to excuse me if I post in wrong places or do something stupid. Jsut let me know and I will make sure I don't do it again.

First landing in a Seaplane and with a bit of bad weather.

Personally, I find 1024px * 640px perfect for the average forum post. I drop down to 800px only when it's to illustrate a technical point or other.

However - for the screencomps, I max it out all the way up to 1280px wide which, apart from making a huge splash laugh.gif, gives Doug a fighting chance of creating a good crop for a banner.

I try to keep the actual filesize between 100k and 150k by careful jpg tweaking when saving - but only if it doesn't degrade the image too much. There are topics/stickies on NZFF that give more detail, I think (I'm sure others will jump in and point them out).

Nothing wrong with the screenshot Sinz, looks fine on my screen and no problems viewing it.

I had a look at your computer specification. If you are inclined, you should be able to overclock that chip of yours by a lot, probably to around 4.5 GHz, even on air cooling. Probably it is not even trying at 3.5 GHz so have a tinker and see what difference it makes,

smooth landings.

Haha yeah more than likely, but for the moment I'm just playing around with Vid card and fsx.cfg. I have seen a huge difference in FSX with forcing Vid card to take over things and adding a few bits in the .cfg Game is running quite good now without overclocking anything, but still looking at tweaks.

TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=100 Default is 40 from memory goes all the way up to 400. Just playing around with 100 for a bit and watching temp on card.
HIGHMEMFIX As well just reading changing and trying things out till I'm happy.

Havent tried Bufferpool yet. So much to do. Only a week and a half of Holidays left.

I keep flying off in different paths installing Air NZ and Qantus repaints and looking for an easy way to get them in the Airports etc.

Feels more like NZ seeing a few of ours and Aussie one as well.

After seeing Bugdani's entry in the January screenshot competition with a shot of Bluff Harbour I was impressed.

But not as impressed as flying around the farm in Western Southland whereI grew up in VLC and finding a marked strip of grass right where our topdressing strip was!

As well as very accurate mapping of road and farm tracks, very impressive and I will be keeping VLC.

I know the feeling, I set off in search of my aunty and uncles strip in the Wairarapa, and spot on the coordinates I found it!
