Set off this morning heading for Omaka to see uncle Doug to get my upgrade on the pc done........all went well until i was about 4km from cheviot. I noticed the temp gauge going a little higher than normal .........2km out it was off the scale........heater on full and crawling toward cheviot.....cabin is now filling with steam and smoke.....anyway, to cut a boreing story short.....the old telstar is a bit sad, problem is .....it isnt mine sad.gif (but it is now... dry.gif )

Thanks to a kind dude in a really good looking F150 pickup...i got a tow back to the big smoke. Sent doug a mayday txt......but no reply.......he's like that tongue.gif (dont bother me....just sort yourself out)
Will try again in 2 weeks .

So......1986 telstar 2.0 ghia, auto, towbar.....only 132,000 k's (not bad for 86) 2 chc owners....needs a radiator and manifold repair, as is where is.....

Doug, I'll be there before new year....... thumbup1.gif

You're not the only one with car woes..........

On my way to work last Sunday the engine light came on and the temp redlined within seconds. Pulled over and opened the bonnet to find a hose had split and sprayed engine coolant EVERYWHERE. Luckily I stopped in time before any serious damage was caused - but it still cost me $450 to fix! dry.gif That's on top of $300 for two new tyres and $350 to fix WOF issues on the other vehicle......... my CC is not looking healthy at all!
