Best tool for making AFCAD start points

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Hi guys,

Thanks to Instant Scenery 2, I have a pretty good progress with my float base project for FSX. I started with Porirua Harbour (so that I can utilise ZK-PCS), and I'll move on to Marlborough Sounds shortly (Portage, etc).

The final step would be to create simple start point AFCADS for the float planes. Which tool would be the best for that? I don't need runways, taxiways. Parking only. Is there any software that "connects" to FSX and gets the co-ordinates/heading/magnetic variation from it, so that I just have to slew the aricraft to the spot to create the parking?

Also, I'm not sure what kind of designation (or ICAO) should I used for these float bases in the middle of nowhere. Should I just go with some random numbers (eg NZ55, NZ89)?

FYI - As soon as I work this out, I'll release Titahi Bay on Flightsim.com

Thanks for your help!

Dan

PS : I'm aware of the simple "Save the flight" solution, but I'd like to have a proper AFCAD instead.
