Hmm THE STOPGAP biggrin.gif I was to try a couple of JKs paint/skins on the original , be god dang worth it after all the superb work Jan has done , and the fuse should jigger the same , this afternoon mission . ninja.gif

Ian, I took the plunge as I was impressed with all of Jan's paints for this and other models. This is worth it as IMHO it is better than the WOP2 'Stang which is getting a bit dated now.

Sorry Mark, I don't have the second pack of restored versions. I did a few for the first pack, maybe they will fit?
Try Miss Torque for instance.
Others are Alabama Rammer Jammer or Nina Merle. I believe NZ2515 is floating around as well somewhere.
Let me know if this works?

On to it now, will see how I get on. thumbup1.gif BTW Jan, I have all your other ones for the A2A WOP2 P-51 (plus the Fort, plus the Spit, plus the Jug etc etc) which inspired me to get the WBS 'stang as a stopgap. Love your work, without disrespecting the other great skinners out there, but your's give an authentic used look to the model which a lot of others don't notworthy.gif

Cheers

Mark

yep, #78 "kitten" is the aircraft of Charles McGee, of the 332 FG, the Tuskeegee airmen.
he went on to fly 408 combat missions in 3 wars, still the highest tally for any US airman.

and this one has finally arrived too:

I'm working on a few paints for the not-yet-released Republic Seabee by KCFS, and I was wondering if there were ever any kiwi seabees?

Meanwhile, progress so far:

Hi Jankees

There never has been any Kiwi Seabees. There was a homebuilt Spencer Aircar which is similar. Pic here (dont think it is flying anymore).

http://www.airliners.net/photo/Spencer-Amp...7b64257beeb2acf

There was a company flying out of Auckland that ws called SeaBee Air but they flew Widgeons, Goose (Geese?) and a Turbo Goose.

Maybe a ficticious reg/scheme will do?

Looking forward to this model...I won one in the comp that Kevin was running a while back at SOH...

Many years ago, there was a Seabee parked in front of the TGA Aero Club for a weekend... Foreign reg (Aussie maybe?), but it sticks in my mind as I got talking to the owner/pilot about it and he pointed out it had been re-engined at some point with a Continental Tiara - unusual because Tiara series engines used a reduction drive with a fluid coupling.
