VLC Opotiki- Beta Shots

Information and support relating to this forthcoming New Zealand Vector Land Class addon.

Postby Timmo » Fri Oct 28, 2011 5:13 pm

I guess this is getting to the stage where I can show some shots off in public smile.gif Still a bit of tidying up work and writing of the installer but it is coming along nicely. Opotiki is a very sleepy little aerodrome just to the South East of Opotiki (itself, a rather sleepy town) but it has tons of character and is a gateway to exploring the beautiful East coast.

That looks great!
I always find highly detailed, yet small and sleepy airfields to be really fun to use in the sim!

You've only been back in the country a matter of days and you're already cranking scenery out? Nice work Tim, looks sharp!

If a decent NZGS gets released, I can see myself spending many flights tracking down the coast from TG, though WK and this place, then round the Cape. Can't wait!

haha not having a job does have its benefits I guess smile.gif I've been working on this one for a little while actually (including when I was overseas) so it will be good to finally release it

Forgot to mention, the aerial comes with Summer, Winter (shown) and night variation too (although the airport buildings themselves won't since the aerodrom can't be used for night operations)

Looking at these 'beta' shots and comparing them to somebody else's 'beta' shots (mentioning no names here but they are not so far away), then you are onto a winner. Far more natural than the other beta shots that I have seen, colours are much better and it is far more natural.

Looking very good!!

smooth landings.

Being in Whakatane and having NZWK as home base cannot wait for this to add to local area. Anyone know where I can get Galatea and an OLD Kawerau from for FSX.
Great work.

Come Chill , so to cool marn ! smile.gif Take some weight off ya toes and have a looksie smile.gif

Love the so damm close to being on base ... 1939/40 ... Yeah Yeah .. like me had to be an old WWII Bomber

I do like the blend here , in the valley between the river mixing it with VLC

Changing between the time and season is always very difficult but a study checking your six so to speak

To the evening later that day , part and parcel of continuous scenery , superb cool.gif

Had to come home for dinner ..

Very well done and jezz gog dang photogenic cool.gif
