I'll start with the inevitable:

When will it be released?

Both downloads and the CD version are now available.

Is there going to be a FS2004 version?

No, this is FSX only. A major feature of this scenery is the high resolution ground textures, which are not possible in FS2004.

Is it compatible with all versions of Flight Simulator X?

No, you will require the FSX Service Patches installed, or Acceleration.

What about Lockheed Martin Prepar3D?

There is now a dual installer for FSX and Prepar3D v2.x. Version 1.4 of Prepar3D is not supported.

Will it work without Vector Land Class?

Yes, although it works best with VLC, in that it blends well with the addon land class. The main difference within the scenery area are a few trees which are part of VLC, such as the custom native bush textures.
It also relies on VLC's street lighting.

Is it compatible with *insert name of any other addon here*

It is not compatible with any other addon versions of Nelson Airport, so these will need to be deactivated to use this scenery. This includes any parking facilities supplied by AI addons. Any other addons, just ask.

Where are the grass runways and taxiways?

They are there, you can see them in the screenshots:) They do include the big yellow numbers as in reality, but they don't appear in the Airport Facilities file. This means that you can't select them as a starting point, and they are invisible to ATC.

This is definitely a feature rather than a bug -- all airport facilities of this type require the underlying mesh to be flattened to a single level. This is a nuisance, as we all know, but more so close to the sea -- this is the sort of thing which normally causes unsightly cliffs, and I try to minimise this where I can. So the northern part of the airport slopes down to the sea rather than sits on a plateau.

Is the scenery compatible with the DX10 Preview?

No, it does use some techniques which are incompatible with the DX10 Preview mode in FSX, although these are just display issues. That is, it will work, it just won't look quite as it should.

Will it work without the Vector Land Class Libraries?
No, you will need to have the Vector Land Class Libraries, version 1.1 or higher, installed. This is included in the Real NZ Nelson download and on the disc version, but needs to be installed separately.

Do I need to read the manual?

Yes, you need to read the manual! Getting a correct installation without reading the manual is possible, but so is winning Lotto. Read the flaming manual!

Where's the Real NZ Nelson FTX NZSI compatibility patch?
Version 1.1 of Real NZ Nelson includes the FTX patch. For others, the patch is available as a separate download on the Real NZ Nelson product page.

What happened to Nelson when I installed FTX NZSI SP2?

NZSI SP2 reverses some changes made by a 'patched' Real NZ Nelson. Take a look here for details on how to fix this.
