At least I am pretty sure it's an Aeroplane Heaven / JF model (based on how their Comet looks).

Vickers Viscount incoming for FSX.....

Hopefully we'll see this livery out of it....

Wow!

I've been waiting for a nice Viscount for so long. In FSX there seems to be a lack of these hissing old-time turboprops (Fokker Friendship, Convair, etc). I'm talking about payware quality here.
Anyway, this one is defenitively JF, they used the same VW Van for the DC-3 smile.gif
So, I guess it's all about patience from here on...JF Viscont, Vertigo DAK, sigh....

Yep! This one really caught me off guard. I love regional/commuter airline turboprop planes, and had been anticipating the PMDG Dash-8 and the Carenado King Air. This looks like it'll likely be first by a wide margin, and I'll definitely be on board when it's released!

Bonus: If you are at all familiar with the Allied FS Group's (AFG's) YS-11 and the related soundset for it.....well....this plane has FOUR of those same Rolls-Royce Dart engines. This may be an aircraft that requires the speaker system to be turned DOWN to avoid hearing damage!

Thanks for the heads up Sean and the plug for a NAC livery , i wasn't happy with there Constellation , after researching and sending many details , they shrugged shoulder and come to the conclusion it was done , each upgrade package seemed to get worst .

Hey Nick thumbup1.gif , they were asking couple days back , I put many hours into research for the same group Connie , any thing mentioned and required fixs were not addressed - one required fix was cosmetic only and they shunned away as if not interested .

I actually emailed the guy referenced in the SOH thread about testing for them, but have not heard anything back over a couple days. In any case, it sounds like it may not be the best experience anyway based on Ian's exposure....

Figured I may have had a shot since I'm a real world pilot (Cessnas...with instrument rating), am currently testing for Milviz, and have plenty of simulated YS-11 (same engine type) time. Oh well! smile.gif

You may wish to install this excellent FREEWARE FSX Viscount Package until this new software becomes available.

Proud to say that I was notified as to my acceptance in the testing process for the Viscount. I'll try my best to assist in ensuring that this is a top quality aircraft for FSX. Not sure how much influence I could have over the introduction of a NAC paint, but I'm sure we'll see one eventually at least from a third party painter.
I have not been given access to the plane quite yet, but I hopefully can start within a day or so.

If anyone knows of anything to look for or be mindful of with the Viscount, let me know.

Edit: Was just thinking, this may give me the excuse and ability to have access to the one at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum. The museum has a well-known FS team called MAAM-Sim, creators of an Avenger, DC-3, and B-25 for 2004 and X.
I can probably rent a plane at my local place and do the 20 minute flight down there...

Yep, Capital Airlines. A -700 series model. They also have a Martin 404 in Eastern Airlines colors. If the website is anything to go by, allegedly the Martin 404 is flyable. To be honest though, the I have only seen the B-25, Avenger, and Stearman planes ever flying from their collection.

The outdoor collection ^^

The Viscount. I probably won't ever see it fly, though I don't think a fuel line/system replacement would be that big of a deal.

Also, I've heard some stories, and have seen a few vids related to pretty much anything landing at Wellington. It certainly looks like a challenging location!

EDIT: Was researching the MAAM Viscount, and unfortunately they seem to be very protective of their aircraft. They do not allow interior tours, which puts an end to any helpful research opportunities I could have had with that. I'm not sure how much of an effort they are making to make it flyable again. From my understanding, they need one new engine for it. One would think that they could take one from one of the many discarded YS-11's around the world (many in Florida for example), but who knows how much effort they are willing to take. In any case, it's neat to at least have one relatively close to me, though it's inaccessible. Looking forward to testing this FSX iteration!
