Looked a bit like the handle on a garden fork, only square. Quite a comfortable position, as it seemed to 'fit' nicely. Great aircraft to fly and also great visibility.
Hope that the Red Checkers get back into the air soon
smooth landing.
Good old 89, have had some fun times in that machine.
I to did some time in the 160 hp RNZAF Airtourers and they did have a "spade grip" in the middle
Did not think much of it when I first saw it but really enjoyed it in the end, I remember a flap switch on the grip as well so that was a good little extra.
All of the RNZAF Airtrainers have a joy stick, when I went from the 160 hp Airtourer to the CT4B I thought that was great but later on flying in a CT4E was a lot more fun but you get that when you go from 210 through to 300hp.
The Red Checkers have been actively flying for the last few months and displaying at the RWC, good to see them up and about, they have a busy year ahead.Last edited by Gavin Conroy on Tue Oct 25, 2011 7:29 pm, edited 1 time in total.Cheers Gavin:
