Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Sorry to bother you all again with my payware purchase, but I'm considering what Captain Sim product to buy.
I'll definitely get the 767, and I've already got the C-130. I'm tossing up between draining my account further and getting the 757 or the 727.

What I really wan't to know is which one has the most NZ connection/available repaints for it. This is because I'll likely never fly it if it doesn't fit in NZ.

So much choice, so little money. laugh.gif

Both the 72 and 75 have RNZAF connections smile.gif and up till now you could see a good number of 727 freighters plying the NZ skies, but I understand that is all changing?? The 757 is a way more complex aircraft, and FS model than the 727, I have both, and love them equally, but in different ways, for different types of flying. The 757 is very technical whereas the 727 is much more hands on.

Good luck!

I dunno about CH but when I worked at Auckland all I ever saw was the DHL 727 and the stand in one when she was off being serviced. Jumped into the cockpit every chance I got biggrin.gif

And don't forget Kiwi operated a 727, and a 757, so there's a couple more connections, but doesnt help your decision any Connor sorry laugh.gif

I would say though, the 757 systems will be very similar to the 767 you're planning to buy anyway, so I reckon you're better off spending the $$ on the 727 and get some hands-on experience on something different, lots of clunky toggle switches and some good ol'e steam gauges. Oh, and you'll also get to pretend to be the Engineer

727s are still irregular visitors to Christchurch , hush kitted winglet private jets so that give you that option also .

I did a few paints for the 727, one for Ansett, two for TAA and one for Polynesian, that you might use in NZ, and then there's this one:

In case people don't already know (and he's too modest to mention it), most of Jankees' repaints are hosted on AussieX.org ... here.

I love that RNZAF 727 one!
