Watching the vid, it looks like they have put extra effort into the startup rotor animation. It definately looks like the blade animation is synced a lot closer to the turbine startup sound and takes time getting up to speed, v's the usual unrealistic transition from intial blade rotation to spinning texture animation. I have read alot from developers how FSX has severe limitations for this. Even Aerosofts Huey X doesnt model realistic blade spoolup but you only have to look at the default FSX Acceleration pack Merlin heli and you will see the blade animation from startup to full speed is very gradual and hardley any developers have been able to mimic this. Maybe it is just lazyness I dont know. I hope MS flight pays more attention to turbine startups etc.. Like can the rotating textures and replave them dynamic rotating blades/props. Modern cpu's have more than enough grunt to do this. Xplane already seems to do this on some of the new generation aircraft.

Anyway, the 109 looks awsome and I cant wait to fly it.

Im not a helicopter person but that looks great ...Yes the RNZAF AW-109LUHs are quite different inside but the new Taranaki A109 Power would be a great colour scheme for this model.

The blade animation may well be a limitation of FSrecorder and Fraps.
Nice looking and sounding model. I will wait for initial handling reviews before I get the wallet out.

You will have a problem registering if you are using any of the email providers listed in SOH's warning notice
..... Due to changes forced upon us by hackers, spammers and problems we have received from members with anonymous email addresses such as yahoo, hotmail and gmail in the past we were forced to ban these types of addresses for registration purposes. Do you not have an email address issued by your Internet Service Provider? .....
