haha yes, once upon a time a bit of a virtual Captain..

Well, this product is not a whole lot different to the FS9 version - you can see more screenshots etc on their website. In many ways a good thing that it is an upgrade to the FS9 version, as that version got numerous patches applied to fix things up. Those fixes are thus already included in the FSX version.
I have done the install so far, and it's as easy as usual with the flight1 wrapper - be sure to get the coupon for the discount if you own the FS9 version.

I started flight sim without a restart (always a bad idea) and jumped straight in at runway 02, NZCH, and set off for NZWN- realtime, activesky weather.

I took a few pictures on the way. I've not installed the livery pack yet, so used a BBJ, with the livery supplied by the installer.

The model is very nice as usual, repaint is nice too (I've left the FPS counter on for you all to see)

I'm a 2d cockpit flier in the jets, this is the cockpit view. I'm happy with the FPS in the 2d cockpit..

3d cockpit, umm... that's another story.. Only achieving about 9-18fps with that. So not good on my PC anyway (specs will come at the end). I generally avoid even going into the 3d cockpit in the likes of my Level D and QWsim 757.

And just some more of the climb out. The outside model as you can see is very frame rate friendly.

Shortly after that FSX crashed on me. Not surprising though! My computer doesn't like me taking lots of screenshots and racing through the available views. My Level D has the same crash if I push it too hard around NZ with VLC on. But I'm doing a defrag now (was 9% fragged), will do a restart, and fly as I normally would, take less screenshots as I normally would, and I'm sure I'll get to the end of the flight without problem.
I get very similar performance really with the plane in FS9, I just have this annoying crash in FSX when I start to work FSX hard..

But, probably a consequence of my old computer more than anything.

, you would really feel at home in that cockpit , i wonder should i hold off for the PMDG model

Yes Ian, I would love a real one!

That will be the question on everyone's mind Ian, this or the PMDG. And, until the PMDG is released and user reviews in, I'm not sure you can judge one over the other. The ifly I am certain is never going to be 'as good' as the PMDG. But, the ifly is still excellent! PMDG I think will be a little better than excellent though. For the price, this can't be beaten for me. I certainly won't want to spend the huge amount to get the PMDG, and as a $15US upgrade, I never for a moment doubted I'd upgrade. It's economic sense to make this my 737 of choice. I'm happy with the plane already, and given I'll have trouble running this still on my old computer, I'm never going to get a PMDG 737 to run

But, each simmer wanting a 737 will come to their own conclusion on what will suit them best. For some it will be ifly, for perhaps many more it will be the PMDG. If you have to spend $54US to get this, I'd suggest waiting for the PMDG. If it's only $14.95US for you like it was for me, I'd say go for it.

With specs like that Craig I'd expect nothing less

I'm pretty sure that's the way most simmers will be heading. But, that's not to say this isn't a great package from ifly. I (personally) don't believe that anyone in the world does as well as PMDG do, and their 737 will certainly prove to be the case. If you have the horsepower to run it that is.
