Captin Sim 737-100/200 preview

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Postby connor » Fri Mar 18, 2011 9:43 am

Just a heads up that Captin Sim has released a few more preview shots of there 737 found here.
A question, why are they making the 737-200 an expansion pack? There were only 30 737-100's built! unsure.gif
BTW, Charl, there is a nice shot for you there as well! winkyy.gif

They are because it's logical (use the first one as the base pack) and because they know darn well that everyone who buys the base pack will also buy the -200 expansion. Let's hope they make it a cheap combo as virtually everybody will buy them both.

Wonder if they'll get it to market before the NGX ?

All these various 737's being released, yet no one has cottoned on to the fact that a 737-300 with a decent VC would be nice! winkyy.gif

From what I've heard and seen, it has a nice set of 2d panels and flight dynamics, but no 3d switches in the VC. I'll probably still end up buying it somewhere down the track anyway, but a Captain Sim level VC would be much better. smile.gif It sounds like a fairly realistic simulation as well.

I guess the type would sell well , the B52 was extremely cheap , think the detail is SO worth an extra few dollars smile.gif

I think my Tinmouse 737-200 will be sufficient for me. It doesn't have a VC but has great 2D panels. It flies very well.

Weird , always the way , viewed this a most highly recommended doco last night Pioneering Aviation in New Zealand , a full hour and the history of the 737 in New Zealand

"With the commonality between the 727 cockpit and 73 , a cliche - but i happened to watch Pioneering Aviation in New Zealand , of the 30 built 3 100 series operated with Annsett NZ from 1987 to 1989 , ANZ engineer,s found them to be in very good condition , one off these aircraft was returned to Boeing to be added to the Boeing museum and the aircraft painted in the prototype color,s ."

Really looking forward to it! I've been wanted a good FSX 737-200 (and a 100 is fine) with a VC for a while.
Guessing that while we wait for the VC to be completed, it can simply be aliased to the default -800 VC for a while.

I'm not a big fan of the whole "release in components" thing (visual models, then vc later) but I may actually jump on it this time.

Yeah, fingers crossed it might work with the Wilco 733/4/5 panel, doubt it though based on the CS 777 panel antics
