FSAddon are working on a new Hudson for FSX, count on a few kiwi paints after release...

Hi Michelle, welcome here!
For a sim, I recommend FSX. It just looks the best, and I don't care about shooting at things..

All my repaints for MSFS can be found on flightsim.to
Older repaints for FS9, FSX and P3D are on avsim

Non of the Hudsons in NZ are airworthy - unfortunately most had the wings torched off through the main spar, inboard of the engines. To get one back in the air would (among other things) require a new main spar which runs from engine to engine, through the fuselage. Not impossible, but.....

...going to happen nonetheless... According to Classic Wings magazine a number of months ago, the owners of the Avro Anson that is being restored (hopefully) in time for Classic Fighters this easter, also own a Hudson that they intend to restore.

Great resource on RNZAF Hudson "survivors" here: http://www.cambridgeairforce.org.nz/RNZAF_..._Survivors.html. Includes the one I mentioned above, NZ2049, which is also perhaps the most historically significant Hudson of the lot. Also included are a number of both current and period photos showing roundel types and colours...
