Fraps Strikes Back!

Read and report on flightsim developers progress of upcoming or completed products

I've been less than happy with the various FRAPS "Updates" in the last year or so, and was contemplating abandoning it for the Recorder Module Renderer.
I use it in FS9, and possibly the development focus was elsewhere.
Now V3.2.8 is out, and really behaves itself.
Very few induced stutters, no dropped frames that I could see, be interesting to hear if this works well in other games software too.
This one I will keep in a special box...

I've had a bit of a love-hate relationship with FRAPS. I still have a mega issue with it using an old AVI codec that limits the size of the file to 4Gb ... and found Playclaw to be a better option for the longer recordings.

That said, FRAPS seems to be "going somewhere" now. I've tried the video renderer beta (no sound) and it's very smooth.
