thats cool but i wish it were a MK.IX with twin radiators, 20mm hispano cannons, 6 stack exhausts and the pointier nose cone. All in all a much sleeker looking aircraft.

Actually, it's pretty good. Given that accusim effectively runs out-of-process from fsx, a whole lot of parallel processing is being done if you have a multicore CPU. I've not noticed any effect of FPS yet in fact, and even the RealAir Mk IX spit causes a slight drop for me...

Ive only got a single core processor, 3.2ghz and 2.5ghz of ram. I really want it but if its going to be marginal then its not worth it.

Drive in turn up afternoon , Dinner at the LONESTAR Church Corner (100 meters away ) .... FS and beers the night , many would like to meet ya , get bunch off simmers in , you stay the night here , drive back the next morn or when ready .

Looking at everything and all the rave reviews, I took the plunge and bought it. Works ok, little bit of stuttering here and there but pretty good overall. Havnt stood it on its nose yet but I cooked the motor on the first flight, landed ok though. Its a fairly tempremental beast.

Seeing this seems to be the topic for the Spitfire, I thought Id share some of the things that Ive discovered that make it a dream to fly.
1, Be very progressive with adding power. Aids in keeping the engine running and you travelling in the right direction.
2, Dont spend too much time sitting on the ground, its hard to get the oil temp down after it gets hot.
3, Reduce RPM as soon as the gear is up after takeoff. This will stop overheating.
4, Use the 'ctrl g' to pump the gear up and down, dont use the handle in the cockpit, takes way too long.
5, You can be quite aggressive with aerobatics, but be carefull not to pull to hard in turns otherwise it WILL drop into a spin.
6, Use the rudder when flying. Like most tail dragger aircraft, the Spit requires a lot.
7, If your going somewhere, climb up higher to cruise. Let the supercharger do some of the work and the colder air keeps the engine temps down.
8, Returning to the airstrip from a high altitude, dont forget to turn the demister on. If it does fog up, open the canopy.
9, Dont put the gear or flaps down too early for landing, the flaps act as braking flaps, you will have to use more power to keep the machine flying if they are deployed. The gear obstructs the flow of air into the radiator also.
10, Leave the prop in coarse pitch for as long as possible before landing, this also keeps the engine RPM down and therefore, temperatures stay low.
11, Use the brakes as little as possible when taxying around. It doesnt take much to get the tail up.

3,9 and 10 are the most important that Ive found. I think almost all of these are in the documentation. If I come up with any more, Ill add them.
