This is for the payware Carenado C-18F (Bush/Ski), right?

Exactly.
This is going to be a huge file of approx. 18MB, so I'll push her over to a hosting site once she's done...

Now back to FS9:
Due to repaint efficiency, the Mount Cook Skywagons will be bundled to a double-feature with MDB's 1994 "Lily" paint included:

Ho-ho-ho, now they'll be getting into the sack!

Cheers,
Markus.

We really are a lucky lot here on NZFF, lately. Markus doing all these stunning repaints and Deane throwing a brand new Cresco at us. Thank you!

Markus!! notworthy.gif thumbup1.gif clapping.gif

With a few tweaks to the aircraft.cfg file, I have the pleasure of flying your FS9 versions in FSX ... wow!!!

The tailfin rego looks like it didn't port over properly for the stbd view, but they still look stunning!

I managed to get Peter Lohr's (FS9) NZMC to work in FSX ... after a fashion. The runway and buildings elevations seem fine, but the taxiways are down about 1m ... so I just use the grass winkyy.gif

Looks great!

Meanwhile, I managed to convert the textures to DDS.
I tried to include all files needed, so here comes the "FSX native" beta version of ZK-MDB:

All owners of the FSX model are invited to do some thorough testing!
Please report any issues or things to be improved.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Markus.

All looks pretty good, thanks Markus thumbup1.gif - except for the flipped texture on the starboard side of the rudder (same as the FS9 version, above). Probably something to do with the mdl ... outside your control???

Had some kind beta testers at SOH too:
http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/show...ll=1#post528031

Comparing the screenshots makes me think the vstabs are where they belong but the rudders are flipped. Tried to compensate this.

Would you please try it again with this one here?
Just copy to the texture folder, overwriting the elder file.

Thanks again for your support!

Markus.

Argh.

You've bought the model before "April 17th, 2010 1200 GMT" or by a reseller?
Then you might need the
C185F SKYWAGON BUSH FSX PATCH 1
by Carenado, available here:
http://www.carenado.com/ecommerce/links.php3

Just found out that the earlier release had a screwed-up rudder. Quoting Carenado:
"The patch corrects an error related to the assignation of textures in the rudder."

So if you please...?

Thanks a ton!

I got mine from SimMarket (they often do deals). Update duly grabbed (thank you!!) ... will report back here!

Hmmmm. Problem persists sad.gif. I applied all the patches (to all my Carenado C185's). Does anyone here have the FSX C185 Bush/Ski? What are the file details of c185_skis.MDL? Mine are:

02 Apr 2010 09:23:34 8,426Kb

Pity - I could have re-bought it when the sale was still on.

UPDATE: I took the liberty of amending Care185Ffuse_C.dds (hope you don't mind) ... swapping the two offending letters around. The rego now looks as it should (for me at least) though I admit it's a bit of a "kludge"!
