I popped in to see what today's $5 special was, and discovered that they are ALL now only $5.

Got myself the A-10, F-14, F-16 and Texan-II, all for $20. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

...maybe not quite yet. After downloading the A-10, I couldn't get back to the storefront. Looks like the news has spread, and it's crashing.
Fatal error: Call to a member function add_current_page() on a non-object in /data/17/2/92/65/2092717/user/2294644/htdocs/storefront/includes/application_top.php on line 312

You will be fine , as long as you have saved your payment ticket , always print and save a record off the transaction .

Got them eventually, and decided to add the F-20 Tigershark as well. Oh well, I was trained on pistons and spent most of my flying years in jets, so I guess I'm addicted to JP-4. laugh.gif
Not a bad deal for Aus$25.00!

Well, the Vulcan of course Ian :-) ... plus I grabbed the Kittyhawk and A10 for good measure ninja.gif

The store-front is back in action now (as of about 12:30), sounds like they've had an overwhelming response.

Dean , you wont go wrong with the Vulcan , reply from IRIS

Due to the absolutely fantastic way our Five Dollar plane sale has been received, we
have hit our sales cap for the month. I've just come off the phone from Paymate and
they have agreed to increase our sales limit for the month which means the sale will
continue!

Karen and I must thank you all for your fantastic support of our sale to date, and
who knows, maybe this will see a new pricing structure down the road.. smile.gif

Due to the inconvinience caused by this issue, we'll be extending the 5 dollar sale
to give people who've been unable to purchase, the chance to do so.

The store will remain closed for new orders for the time being whilst I clear up the
unprocessed orders. Once the store is back open for business, I'll send an e-mail to

inform you.

Regards

David Brice
IRIS Flight Simulation Software.

Further mail

The IRIS Storefront is back up for trading.

I am currently still working through previously locked orders to remove them from the
system.

Customers who have been unable to purchase due to the purchase cap issue will need to
repurchase their products.

Those who have paid via Paypal will NOT need to repurchase.

Kind Regards

David.

You could use this here. Its a Pitts Special in real life but the two aircraft are similar.

Well, as unbelievable as it may seem, I've lashed out on my first payware aircraft! ohmy.gif At AUD$5 (+ the $1.25 fee) a pop, that's a bargain and a half! I went with:
DA-42 Twin Star
DA-40 Diamond Star XLS
Christen Eagle
P-40 Kittyhawk: Aces of the Commonwealth
A-10A Warthog

Although I'm definitely into combat stuff, since FSX is NOT a combat sim, I just got the A10 to satisfy the "yearning" for some speed, a gun, and a kick-ass looking aircraft! wub.gif I must say, the A10 ranks high on my list of favs - just something very cool and "big boys toys" about it. Loved seeing it in Terminator 4, even if I think it would make a fairly lousy air-combat platform... winkyy.gif Now, a ground-attack platform, that's something else altogether... icon_twisted.gif

Hehe.. nice one Pete, I bought the A10 for the same reason, I'm not into combat stuff at all but the A10 is just such an intriguing machine aint it. I also bought the Diamond-star XLS, held off on the Twin-star coz the Eaglesoft one seems much more complete/accurate, even if more expensive I think I'll hold out for it instead:

Got myself an A-10, B.2 Vulcan, F-16 and the Diamond Twin-Star, smile.gif , For 20 bucks laugh.gif what a score. It is taking forever for them to download, though. Got the B.2 installed and the A-10 is on its way. But the Twin-Star and F-16 are stuck at 0%. Wish I could get the Vulcan out of the Hangar, but my brother is playing Club Penguin and that's probably not helping my downloads either. sad.gif .

I HATE SHARING biggrin.gif
