Just something I have enjoyed

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby SeanTK » Sat Dec 11, 2010 7:01 am

Hey!

I just wanted to see if the members here were aware of an excellent freeware scenery project for those times that you want to fly outside of New Zealand!

I'll let the screenshots do the talking (not my shots):
http://www.nl-2000.com/nuke/modules.php?na...opic&t=2768

When not using VLC, I've been getting a lot of enjoyment out of flying over the Netherlands! It's a large series of files, but it's worth it.
Version 3 = FS2004, and Version 4 = FSX.

Not meaning to take away from the excellent NZ projects we have here, but just in case a few want to spread out their operations...there you go!

mmm great screens Sean- It is apparent a lot of work has gone into it (i.e. water masking looks fantastic!)....If only we had access to that level of aerial imagery in NZ!

Hi,

It's great scenery isn't it Sean? And imagine this; I can see it in real life every day. Get's a bit boring though. No mountains or canyons. But nevertheless, they made a great effort in making this scenery.

Paul, luckily the only place where you hear that song is Amsterdam. A place I try to avoid as much as possible.
