ian:

thanks for the reply. it took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to upload some screen shots; i hope these links work. i think i may have given an inaccurate description, but today it seems that the trees and buildings were floating rather than submerged. the same problem is present with the abel tasmin photoscenery. i have installed fsx acceleration in a win 7 computer. the relevant addon sceneries are fs genesis world mesh, the 2 red baron sceneries (topo mesh and 20m mesh), and the orbx ftx aus sceneries.

i will be most interested in your thoughts about the problem and any help you can offer.

best wishes

That isnt the AGN that was in the original ChristchurchX before its release on snowmans site by the thatchers ,, you will need the FSX agn files ,as the ones you have seem to be work from 2004 or 2002 scenery files which dont match FSX placement of the photo ,wonder why they are in there ..

As for Abel Tasman there has been No AGN released for this product yet, so there should be no AGN bleeding through the aerial image until i put it there after the release of Hamilton ,the fact you have agn in the scenery is very abnormal ,do you have any files in the texture folder of Abel Tasman ?

As previously posted here I have the same issues (CHCH). It's the only ChCh scenery i have installed + VLC. FSX SP2 Windows 7. I only d/l ChristchurchX after it was made available from Snowman's site. This was a clean FSX install - not sure how 2004 or 2002 files would be relevant?

thanks for the reply and commemts. it's becoming very puzzling. i will try downloading again from snowman's site and get back to you. i cannot remember where i downloading my existing file from. as for tasman abel, i have only a scenery folder with 2 bgl files, and no texture folder or agn. if you like, i can send you a screen shot.

Nope no need to do that ,if there are no AGNs texture files in the abel tasman texture folder there should be no AGN anywhere on the photo ,there has been some agn done but its not anywhere near the water and still has not been released via any site, the autogena hasn't finished yet and lost his files to his PC fail ,so i and one other are the only ones that have a backup file ..

The agn in CHCH looks like 2004 2002 agn which could have been used by the people who compiled it the second time ,from whats happened lately nothing would surprise me anymore , i wish id never help make this addon ,though its still a cool area of course .

i have tried now to send you 3 private emails but none of them appear to be sent. perhaps i don't know how to use the private mail, but i write the letter, send it, and track it but can find no traces of any which i have sent. briefly, what i said is that after downloading a new copy of christchurch from snowman's site, the installed scenery still show the trees and houses in the water. have you any suggestions for a next step?

Hey Ian
I hope they are able to track it down quickly for you. I don't envy them the task - I really HATE those sort of problems: very frustrating. And one is always mindful of the dollar clock ticking... ninja.gif

iam:

sorry to hear about your computer trouble. a couple of months zgo, one of my computers suddenly refused to start and i took it for serfvicing. after checking it out thorougly, they decided it might be due to a faulty power supply, and the problem was solved with installation of a new power supply.

a short time ago, i sent you another personal email on the nzff forum and it went through this time.

good luck with the computer.
