Does any one know if bob has a body? maybe you could swap out his face texture with a pic of your self. Now that would be a laugh and a half.

Yep, I painted my bob black so i can see him

Virtual airshow that sounds awesome, how does that work?

Do you need to have all of the participating aircraft installed or do they download and show up as AI?

If you want the full experience, you will need all of those aircraft, but otherwise the would come up as aircraft already in your hangar, or on some very scarce occasions, not show up at all smile.gif

I'm a noobie to this whole multi-play FSX thing (usually fly commercial stuff on vatsim), but after talking w Ian online last night am really keen to give it a crack. I've got a thing for choppers too so if you need numbers for the Huey team would be keen to buy the Nemeth bro's model and sign up for that.

Am in the process of migrating from FS9 to 10 so dont have anything on the list yet except the Captain Sim Herc. So that leaves prioritising what others to buy. Guess I'll wait and see what the lineup ends up being first. I'd be keen to buy the Corsair (love that aircraft), but was wondering for the rest, can you just use a freebie aircraft and alter its "title" or some other field in the aircraft.cfg file and have it appear in its place?

Oh, and how come noones mentioned the Harvards (I see SkyUnlimited do one for FSX?)
update - I see there is also the Harvard from Virtavia, both models seem to be FS9+FSX, anyone care to share which one they think is best?

Dean , I was waiting for for a NZFF member to mention Harvard , i was leader and solo with a team at Jon,s ARNZ FSX airshow four years back , lot of work in practice and getting people to practice times , end off the show we ended with a very polished display .

Harvard,s then used the freeware - much preferred Alpha Sim or the Sky Unlimited , although the SU model has a brilliant internal model the external and sound package not good , Alpha s cockpit needs the SU , the aircraft would be superb !

I have had many multiplays finding the Alphasim/Virtavia very stable for aerobatics and formation as long as you communicate .

So sounds like a thumbs-up on the Alphasim Harvard, and is the Alphasim Yak the one to get?
Will prolly only splash out on one of these, am kinda leaning towards the Yak for some reason, love watching them at RW airshows

I don,t find the Alpha as good as a earlier 2004 payware and that was reasonable , AS is the only one.

I'm interested, but I don't know how things will go schedule-wise during that time-frame (assuming April 2011?).
If it's aligned with the real one, I have no idea what's happening with my schedule in 2012, so I'll pass. laugh.gif

Also, presuming that you want a smooth interaction, this would be through FSX's Gamespy service?

Depending on how things pan out, I could fly the following:

Lotus Simulations "Aero L-39C"
PMDG Jetstream 41 (Origin Pacific or one of the fictional NZ liveries)
Virtavia/Alphasim AS365 Dauphin (USCG livery, or WestPac Australia livery I suppose)
Virtavia/Alphasim Kaman SH-2 Seaprite (RNZAF livery)

Yet again, no guarantees at this point, but for what it's worth, I'm interested. smile.gif
