I apologize, I still haven't finished that really weathered paintjob, and my work is going to interfere over the next month, so you'll have to have a bit more patience I'm afraid...

Sorry about this.

I did that on about my 3rd flight earlier on this year. Gave me a hell of a fright.

Worse ... I just spent 20mins zooming through Milford Sound in a Spit at maximum speed ... trying to record a movie. I got a sudden "cough, pfffffffffffffft" - my windscreen went all black and my engine died. Not quite the show-stopper ending I had in mind! icon_redface.gif

A dead-stick landing in the Sound with no forward vis .... hmmm!!!! laugh.gif

In my combat sim days, I ran a Flanker 2.0 online head-to-head ladder and met a RL (Greek) F-16 pilot who was *unbeatable* in the sim. He said he used 100% RL tactics and that he and other members of his squadron often used the sim to test tactics. This was with a [now] relatively old sim, old PCs and no TrackIR. What they could do now with LOMAC or any DCS sim? ...

I also chatted with some Tornado pilots at an air show - as they were promoting [the incredible] Tornado sim. The mission planning in that sim has never been bettered ... and we're talking maybe 15 years ago!
