That wasn't too hard, eh? winkyy.gif
It will be 3220 in her final "back home" version (Foliage Green / Sky Grey) with killmarks.
And with less dirt...

Here's the reference (scroll down to the bottom):

And here she is:

What do you think about the Foliage Green?
I know there is a lot of discussion on this shade (I've just read that it was said to come close to RAF Dark Green...), but this one here is pretty much near to FS 24092.
The fuselage roundel more or less must stay in this place: There's a weird mapping issue between the front side and the rear fuselage textures, leading to a partial overlapping. No chance to adjust the roundel, spreading over both sections, any more to the front...

And how about this one?
NZ3283 "Silver Barge".

Stripping off paint is way easier...

Yes - hats off to you gents for excellent work in the repaints. Well done also for thoroughly researching your work to give the most accurate rendition that you're able - very professional. clapping.gif

Well, to be honest: The research side of a repaint job - especially with a knowledge base such as this here - is the more interesting and educational part. Doing the paint work is just applied handicraft...

@ Ian:
Any news on the NZ3148 pics?
I'm ready to get her packed...

Cheers,
Markus.

I agree completely!
But still very nice paints!

To be honest, I'm not too keen on the model, but now I'm thinking of dusting it off once more..

Well, guys:
Enough teasing on Mrs. Lyons.
Upload to the usual places (AVSIM, Flightsim.com and sim-ouhouse) is finished.

Hope you'll enjoy these two Glorias!

Cheers,
Markus.

I am not a Flight Sim person but I felt it was worth joining here to point out that the serial number of "ESMA LEE" was not NZ3287, it was in fact NZ3237.
Your excellent artwork also requires a white rectangle on the port cowl too - not sure if it or the name appeared on the starboard cowl.

See details of this and more photo of the aircraft here on my forum:

Hi Dave welcome to NZFF...thanks for pointing that out.

One day you will have to come over and I can show you my not very impressive sim set up at home (no fancy stuff for me just pedals, stick and screen) and get you into flight simming winkyy.gif (if I can get the kids away from the PC)

Has anyone got more details on that silver P-40 NZ3283? Who flew it, which unit, which base?

I knew that NZ3110 and NZ3210 were in the bare metal schemes in WWII but I don't think I have come across this one. I assume it was at somewhere like Ardmore or Ohakea?
