In my 15 years of Flightsimming, I'd have to say that this is probably the most significant NZ related add-on ever to be developed. Every screenshot I've seen to date just oozes pure New Zealand, no mistaking it.

..out of interest... winkyy.gif .....

Will VLC be available for we FS 2004 enthusiasts?.... rolleyes.gif ....

At the moment I am using FS Global SE mesh, VOZ 1.8 (Northern region) Green Textures and Koorbygen Buildings , GE Pro, REX, nzlc land class; for my Mesh, Textures, and Colours....

...all for FS 2004...

All this gives me wonderfully realistic detail for NZ, so it will be interesting to know if VLC will improve upon this, if available for FS 2004...!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Nav...and a bit of class!... cool.gif ...!

Paul, unfortunately it won't be available for Fs2004 as VLC is designed to make use of the extra features of FSX. A better upgrade for you would be the Red Baron Topo and mesh for Fs2004

Ta, Tim.... winkyy.gif.....

I assume this would be the link to the mesh?...>>>>

Red Baron Mesh

Many thanks!... thumbup1.gif ...!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Navigator...and;.... "That's another fine mesh you've got us into, Stan".... laugh.gif ...!

P.S I've has FSX since it was first released, but FS Navigator only works for FS 2004 in on-line Multiplayer, so I mostly use FS 2004!

You'll want the bundle from here to get the Mesh and Landclass

Ta, Husker... winkyy.gif ....!

$100 USD = £64.37

In actual fact, my existing FS 2004 Autogen scenery and landclass + mesh, etc, enhanced with all my add-ons listed above, works wonders for North Island, with its mostly lush, rolling green landscape....

...and even the mountainous South Island is pretty good, as well.... smile.gif ...!

I would love to do that, (Post Screenies), but I am confused by the way that the NZFF Shots are uploaded, and downloaded, in having to use "Photobucket", etc, to store them.

Other Sites I use, insist on the Pics being correctly sized (Max 800 Pixels wide, <140K each shot), and uploaded from our Desktop to the Sites own storage hard drive, for permanent storage and use.
...if an "off-site", (Photobucket), stored Pic gets deleted by its owner, it results in a "dead-link" appearing in the thread!
This will never happen if the Pics are stored on the Sites own hard drive... thumbup1.gif ...!

I took a number of shots yesterday of my low level trips around North Island...but the "Photobucket" idea puts me off!

A Site dedicated, Bulletin Board, Screen-shot, "Upload Page" would be excellent... clapping.gif ...!

The Screen shots can than be downloaded from the NZFF hard drive location...It speeds the whole system up....and no chance of dead links!

Using an "off site" storage location is often frowned upon by some/most sites!

What do you reckon?... winkyy.gif ...!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Nav...and no Photos in my Bucket!... rolleyes.gif .... biggrin.gif ...!

Not hosting the images here helps in many ways:

1. It doesn't require lots of (paid for) storage space
2. It cuts down on the data / traffic going through the forum host
3. You can post your screenshots in many locations, not only here

There's no hassle using Photobucket, honestly. I've been using it for years. If anything it's an off-site back up for my screenshots and other bits and bobs.

Can you post the pics of your scenery here by copying the url of where they are shown on other forums? Alternatively email them to me and I'll gladly put them on Photobucket and show here smile.gif

Ta, ZK...

I'll give the "Photobucket" idea a try.... winkyy.gif ...!

I am always amazed at the "realism" of my screen shots using my trusty old FS 2004, with my various Freeware and Payware add-ons... wub.gif ....!

North Island always shows up very well with its rolling countryside in Summer and Autumn!

...and I can see where our New Zealand Lamb comes from!..... biggrin.gif ...!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Navigator...and a leg of NZ Lamb... cool.gif ...!
