I have long been lamenting the fact that Reality XP - producers of some of the best addon gauge sets for FS9 - have elected not to upgrade their Jetline series to FSX. There are no other producers of gauges which are affordable to the casual user, which has meant I have not been able to upgrade my home cockpit/simpit to FSX. That is until now......

Aerosoft Australia have recently announced production of a complete Boeing 737NG Avionics Suite for FSX which will include a PFD, ND, EICAS, MCP and realistic FMC capable of LNAV and RNAV with nav data sourced from Navigraph. Pricing is set at an affordable AUD$59.95. I have emailed a couple of Beta testers on the MyCockpit forums to ask about display quality and gauge smoothness, which they report is excellent. Demo videos are soon to be released - while the product release date is yet to be announced.

Huh you think YOU got it bad Mr Jet Jockey? I want to build a SPITFIRE pit, but NOONE makes spitfire instruments! Found a couple that will custom build the flight controls, including some chap in Perth who does some very very wikkid work, but instruments? Pfft!

ROFL tongue.gif They leave just enough steam in these big boys to have a couple of those olden day type gauges you talk about!! If you want simulated analogue gauges - as opposed to analogue gauges displayed on a 2nd LCD screen as I use - try Simkits or Flight Illusion. Both have generic analogue gauge kits - you use their template to design your own Spitfire faceplates, and then print it off and assemble the gauge........ they aren't cheap though........

holy darnation that looks just like it looks at work lol and the real thing!!
Would be more suitable for guys with multiple screens I would suggest

That's great to hear Chris!! I just hope it runs as smooth as I'm being told.... I'm in the process of setting up my home cockpit/simpit... with 3x 22" widescreen LCD's for the outside views and a 19" monitor for the gauges.... photo's to follow shortly on the cockpit building thread.....

Possibly - but because this is a standalone program, you can use the components in any aircraft you have in the hangar. For instance, I like to fly the C208, Aeroworx King Air, PMDG B190 as well as the heavies.... none of them include an FMC and with this I can potentially (And yes, possibly unrealistically) add it to the aircraft to give me other navigation options.... just a thought....

It dose look precise and very dynamic , with little space o opted for the small auto pilot modules and other smaller desktop addons helpful if showing people or pointing out interesting spots , this on the other hand would look very nice on a completed setup cool.gif

Great tutorial Matt , reinstalled FSX , this is one area i want to get up to speed with , was so good with it many years ago since then be full time VFR even in the big ones .
The program maybe worth looking at , seems Boeing are easier or seem safer than the Airbus .

yea man Im tempted to enter a few other tasty words to see what funnys it replaces them with,...but I might get myself in trouble .. blink.gif
