Im not as much of a screen shot artist as Robin but here are some shots from near Queenstown- These are untouched apart from a resize for upload. They also feature the new 20m mesh.

Winter

Looking great, will this be packaged with the VLC pack or separately?

The plan is to offer both options but it will be priced so that it makes sense to just buy the complete VLC package. Due to the way that FSX water polygons work, it makes sense to offer a DTM if you are also updating water polygons. They don't work well without each other.

We are pushing for an August release (eek that is next month!) but are still to have some final discussions around pricing.

Development has been finalized on a few things this weekend so hopefully it is just a case of tidying up things.

I've got a new version of the VLC config tool to test as well as compile the installer....so there is still lots to do but I hope August is realistic

Hi Tim have you thought of splitting it into two a South Island and a North Island version.

No.....I don't see the point personally. I've split the two Islands in my internal geoprocessing (i.e. slightly different land classification algorithms) but the output covers the whole of NZ. In saying that, VLC is going to have more development after initial release but I don't see this division being necessary even in the future

(to be honest I'm a little confused as to how/why Orbx has chosen to....will the user need to switch FTX modes when crossing Cook Straight?)

Ill put some comparison shots up later- It is slightly more defined and I've also used AIP aerodrome heights in the interpolation where available.
